Unfortunately our pistol shoot on August 27th has been canceled.

Our friends at Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club are hosting a pistol shoot this weekend, August 21st at 11am. 10:30 am safety meeting prior.

The Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club is located on Middlefort Road in Middleburgh.

On September 4th (Labor Day Weekend) Middleburgh RGC will have a pistol shoot. They are also incorporating using a shotgun in 2 courses.  The use of a scatter gun is not required. You can shoot the course just using a pistol if you don't want to participate with the scatter gun.

Bring at least 15 shotgun shells.

The shotgun shells must be lead #7.5, 8 or #9 target loads. No slugs, buckshot or steel shot.

For pistol bring 200 rounds, eye and ear protection.

Shotguns will be checked as we do pistols. Then all shotguns will be staged on a table, action open unloaded.  When it is your turn, you will take the shotgun with action open to the course stage. You will close action on empty chamber and load 4 rounds in the tube. You will lay 4 more rounds on the table. On the buzzer, cycle action and engage each of 4 targets with 1 round each. Reload 4 rounds and re-engage the 4 targets.

Then you will lay the shotgun on the table empty and chamber open. If you have an o/u or sxs shotgun, it will be staged broken open. Then on the firing line, you can load the 2 rounds with safety on and place 6 rounds on table. Then lay gun broken open on table.

After finishing with scatter gun,

You will go to the spot that requires you to draw your pistol and engage those targets.

We will go slow so everyone understands the rules and course of fire.

Normal safety rules will be followed like we always do.
